Saddle Seat Team Tryouts will be held during the first weekend of December - Friday, Dec. 2 - Sunday, Dec. 4th at Clover Leaf Stables, Edmonton, Alberta. Please contact Terry Johnson or Archie Hurst for more info.

The date is set for the OEF Saddle Seat Equitation Championships: October 22, 2011. Stonecroft Equestrian in Mount Albert has graciously offered their faciltiy for the Championships. Conference News - November 2010

At the OEF Conference, Val Reeson accepted the OEF Grant money on the club's behalf. Thank you Val for attending the affiliated club meeting.

Amanda Gilbank was nominated for the People Make A Difference Award on. Thank you to Amanda for all your hard work with the youth.

EQUINE CANADA SADDLE SEAT COACHING/INSTRUCTING PROGRAMME

The Ontario Equestrian Federation has received inquiries about the possibility of holding an Evaluation (formerly called Examination) for candidates who wish to become certified Saddle Seat Instructors. If there is sufficient interest, an Evaluation will be organized, probably in the fall. All interested people should submit their names and phone numbers/email addresses to Kelly Rodrigues, Education Coordinator at the OEF as soon as possible. Information about the programme is available on the OEF website, http://www.horse.on.ca/programs/instructor_programs/saddle_seat_instruction_of_beginner_program.html .

Near the top of the web page is a link to the Instruction of Beginners information booklet, which contains all of the information required for the prerequisites, the reading material, and the content (rubrics) of the evaluation.
